History and Organization
Arrowstreet was founded in and registered with the Securities
and Exchange Commission in July 1999. The firm's three founding
partners are Bruce Clarke, Peter Rathjens and John Campbell.
Bruce and Peter serve as President and CIO, respectively, while
John splits his time between his role as Co-Director of Research
and as the Morton L. and Carole S. Olshan Professor of Economics at Harvard University.
Arrowstreet is structured as a limited partnership that is
owned and controlled by its senior professionals.
By keeping ownership and control in the hands of management,
Arrowstreet is able to align the firms interests with
those of its clients, and attract and retain a talented group
of investment professionals the core of whom have worked
together for over a decade. These individuals all have outstanding
academic and professional qualifications.
